Chennai cuisines

In Chennai, you get the opportunity to taste variety of cuisine which varies from local to national and international cuisine. But if you are in Chennai, you can taste the Tamil cuisine have all tastes- sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent. Traditional Tamil meal is served on a banana leaf and comprises of rice, steamed rice with various dishes like sambar, dry curry, rasam and kootu. Along with the meals, you are also served with crisp appalams, a kind of Indian wafers. When you are finished with your meal, you are offered with a small banana and a few betel leaves and nuts.
